Tiny gadgets and handheld consoles need desktop-level storage, but a whole lot smaller. Biwin’s Mini SSD crams up to 2TB of storage into an NVMe drive the size of a micro-SIM card. “We brought this thing down to the size of a coin,” says Will Lin, director of Biwin Storage Technology USA. Its 15mm by 17mm by 1.4mm land-grid-array slab has 3,700 MB/s of read speed in a tiny footprint. The drive comes in three sizes: 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. While Lin can’t disclose clients, major gaming handheld manufacturer GPD has said publicly that it’s already using the Biwin Mini SSD.
