Michael and Susan Dell have had a great impact and are great role models. My wife Barbara and I know and admire the Dells for their philanthropic initiatives, most recently their commitment to give $250, which can be invested in a stock market index fund, to each child under 10 years old in lower-income areas in the U.S. We appreciate them allowing us to tag along by matching their donations for approximately 300,000 children in Connecticut. Similarly, during the pandemic, when children could only learn remotely and thousands of students couldn’t afford computers, Barbara and I turned to the Dells, who provided laptops for learning.
Michael and Susan personify the American Dream, having become successful by making a great entrepreneurial impact and going on to use their intellectual talents and financial resources to help others claim their own piece of American enterprise.
